    Daywise Itinerary

    Day 1: BAGDOGRA TO PHUENTSHOLING

    Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), meet our representative and begin your scenic drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Located on the Indo-Bhutan border, this vibrant town serves as Bhutan's commercial hub.

    On arrival, complete the check-in formalities and relax at the hotel.

    Day 2: PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU
    Drive through the picturesque mountain roads via Gedu (approximately 9,000 ft above sea level) and pass the famous Chukha Hydroelectric Project. En route, stop at Chuzom, the beautiful confluence of the Paro Chu and Thimphu Chu rivers, an ideal location for photography.

    Arrive in Thimphu by evening and check in to your hotel.
    Day 3: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING TO PUNAKHA
    After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu covering:

    • Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Dordenma)
    • National Memorial Chorten
    • Folk Heritage Museum
    • Simply Bhutan Museum
    • Sangaygang View Point
    • Motithang Takin Preserve
    • Changyul Park
    Later, drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100 m), offering spectacular Himalayan views (weather permitting).
    Upon arrival, check in at your hotel.
    Overnight Stay: Punakha
    Day 4: PUNAKHA TO BUMTHANG
    After breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Bumthang.

    Drive across the scenic Pele La Pass (3,390 m / 11,120 ft), the traditional boundary between eastern and western Bhutan. Witness changing landscapes as lush forests gradually transform into alpine vegetation.
    En route visit:

    • Chendebji Chorten
    • Trongsa Dzong
    • Ta Dzong (Watch Tower Museum)
    Continue your drive over Yotong La Pass (3,400 m / 11,155 ft) before reaching Bumthang.
    Visit the famous Yathra Weaving Centre in Chumey Valley before checking into your hotel.
    Overnight Stay: Bumthang
    Day 5: BUMTHANG SIGHTSEEING
    After breakfast, explore the cultural heartland of Bhutan.

    Visit:
    • Jakar Dzong
    • Lamey Goemba
    • Jambay Lhakhang
    • Chakhar Lhakhang
    • Kurjey Lhakhang
    In the afternoon continue to:

    • Tamshing Lhakhang
    • Mebar Tsho (Burning Lake)
    • Local Handloom Weaving Centre
    Interact with local artisans and experience the traditional weaving culture of Bhutan.

    Overnight Stay: Bumthang
    Day 6: BUMTHANG TO PHOBJIKHA VALLEY TO PUNAKHA

    After breakfast, drive back towards Punakha via the breathtaking Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan's most beautiful glacial valleys and the winter home of the endangered Black-necked Cranes (seasonal).

    Enjoy panoramic landscapes before continuing to Punakha.

    Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

    Overnight Stay: Punakha / Wangdue Phodrang
    Day 7: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING TO PARO

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and explore the highlights of Punakha:

    • Punakha Dzong
    • Punakha Suspension Bridge
    • Chimi Lhakhang (Temple of Fertility)
    Later, drive to Paro.
    Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

    Day 8: PARO SIGHTSEEING/ TIGER'S NEST EXCURSION

    After breakfast, choose one of the following options:

    Option 1 – Paro Sightseeing

    Visit:

    • Rinpung Dzong (View)
    • Nyamai Zam (Traditional Wooden Bridge)
    • Dungtse Lhakhang
    • Druk Choeding Temple
    Option 2 – Tiger's Nest Monastery Trek

    After an early breakfast, begin the trek to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), Bhutan's most revered monastery perched dramatically on a cliff at approximately 3,120 metres.

    Built in 1692, this sacred monastery marks the site where Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated after arriving on the back of a flying tigress.

    The trek takes approximately 5–6 hours (round trip) and offers breathtaking mountain views.
    Return to Paro in the evening.
    Dinner & Overnight Stay: Paro
    Day 9: PARO TO BAGDOGRA (IXB)
    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward flight with wonderful memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

    Tour Ends with Sweet Memories.
    Travel Tips
    • Pack warm clothing, including a light jacket, fleece, and comfortable walking shoes, as temperatures can vary with altitude.
    • If trekking to Tiger's Nest Monastery, wear sturdy trekking shoes and carry a reusable water bottle.
    • Carry sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, lip balm, and moisturizer to protect yourself from the high-altitude sun.
    • Bring personal medications along with a basic first-aid kit. If you are prone to motion sickness, carry appropriate medication for mountain roads.
    • Mobile connectivity and internet are available in most towns, though network coverage may be limited in remote areas.
    • Dress modestly while visiting monasteries, temples, and religious sites. Remove hats where required and maintain silence inside sacred places.
    • Photography may be restricted inside monasteries and temples. Always seek permission before taking photographs.
    •  Smoking is strictly regulated in Bhutan. Follow all local laws and designated smoking areas.
    •  Respect Bhutan's commitment to environmental conservation by avoiding littering and minimizing plastic waste.
    • Mountain roads are winding and travel times may be longer than expected. Keep your camera handy to enjoy the spectacular Himalayan scenery.
    • Respect local customs, traditions, and cultural etiquette to make your Bhutan journey more meaningful and enjoyable.

    Terms & Conditions

     A non-refundable advance payment of 50% of the total tour cost is mandatory to confirm your itinerary. - 30% of the total cost must be paid upon arrival in Gangtok. - The remaining 20% must be paid prior to departure from Gangtok. Note: Failure to adhere to the payment schedule will result in immediate cancellation of the itinerary without any refund or compensation. All payments must be made in full and on time to ensure uninterrupted services.


    Cancellation Policy

    All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and will be considered effective from the date of receipt by Ease Tours and Treks. - More than 45 days before the tour start date: 50% refund of the total tour cost - 30 to 45 days before the tour start date: 25% refund of the total tour cost - Less than 30 days before the tour start date: No refund under any circumstances Please Note: - No refunds will be provided for cancellations due to natural calamities, political unrest, acts of God, or other force majeure events beyond our control - No refunds will be issued for unused services, early departures, or missed segments of the itinerary - Any eligible refund will be processed within 30 working days from the date of cancellation ADDITIONAL TERMS - Vehicle services are provided strictly on a point-to-point basis and are not at the disposal of the traveler. This means vehicles will drop guests at the hotel or market after completing the scheduled sightseeing. - Ease Tours and Treks reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel any service without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances or operational constraints.
