Travel Tips
Permit & Documents: Carry original valid photo ID: Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence Foreign nationals require special permits. Aadhaar and PAN cards are generally not accepted for protected area permits. Keep 4–6 passport-size photos and soft copies of documents. Health & Altitude Tips Tsomgo, Nathula, Yumthang and Zero Point are high-altitude areas. Avoid alcohol before travelling to high altitude. Drink plenty of water and avoid overeating. Walk slowly and avoid running at Zero Point or Nathula. People with asthma, breathing issues, heart conditions, or severe motion sickness should consult a doctor before travel. Carry personal medicines, Diamox (after medical advice), inhaler, motion sickness tablets, and basic first aid. Clothing & Packing: Even during summer, weather can change suddenly. Carry: Heavy jacket/winter wear Gloves, woollen cap, muffler Waterproof shoes or boots Sunglasses and sunscreen Lip balm and moisturizer Umbrella or raincoat For Zero Point: Temperatures can drop below freezing. Snow boots and gumboots can be rented locally. Road Journey Tips Roads in North Sikkim can be rough and bumpy. Start early morning to avoid traffic and landslides. Keep snacks, chocolates, and water bottles during long drives. Mobile network is limited in Lachung, Yumthang and Zero Point. BSNL works better than most networks in remote areas. Weather & Safety: Weather changes quickly in Sikkim. Heavy snowfall or landslides may lead to road closure. Nathula permit depends on weather and army clearance. Follow instructions from drivers, guides, army personnel, and local authorities. Responsible Tourism: Do not litter plastic bottles or wrappers. Respect local culture, monasteries, and army regulations. Photography may be restricted near military areas at Nathula.
Terms & Conditions
PAYMENT TERMS: - A non-refundable advance payment of 50% of the total tour cost is mandatory to confirm your itinerary. - 30% of the total cost must be paid upon arrival in Gangtok. - The remaining 20% must be paid prior to departure from Gangtok. Note: Failure to adhere to the payment schedule will result in immediate cancellation of the itinerary without any refund or compensation. All payments must be made in full and on time to ensure uninterrupted services. MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION FOR INDIAN CITIZENS: - One recent passport-size photograph per traveler - Valid ID proof: Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License only - PAN cards and Aadhaar cards are not accepted as valid travel ID - For minors (under 18 years): Birth certificate is mandatory FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS: - Valid passport, visa, and four (4) passport-size photographs - Diplomatic passports or visas are not permitted for entry into Sikkim unless prior clearance is obtained from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) or the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and will be considered effective from the date of receipt by Ease Tours and Treks. - More than 45 days before the tour start date: 50% refund of the total tour cost - 30 to 45 days before the tour start date: 25% refund of the total tour cost - Less than 30 days before the tour start date: No refund under any circumstances Please Note: - No refunds will be provided for cancellations due to natural calamities, political unrest, acts of God, or other force majeure events beyond our control - No refunds will be issued for unused services, early departures, or missed segments of the itinerary - Any eligible refund will be processed within 30 working days from the date of cancellation ADDITIONAL TERMS - Vehicle services are provided strictly on a point-to-point basis and are not at the disposal of the traveler. This means vehicles will drop guests at the hotel or market after completing the scheduled sightseeing. - Ease Tours and Treks reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel any service without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances or operational constraints
